Voyager

The Voyager is the smallest European designed cruising catamaran in production and is the culmination of many years of listening to the needs of catamaran owners and buyers at Multihull World. Designed with the cruising sailor firmly in mind, her beam and length will allow her to safely sail at good speeds and yet still navigate through the inland waterways of Europe, from the Channel Coast all the way to the Mediterranean. Her design comes from the successful Multihull design team at Dazcat Designs, based at Torpoint in Cornwall. The first of these exciting new catamarans will be launched at Gun Wharf Quays in Portsmouth in April and shown at several major boat shows during 2008 – 8 have been ordered prior to launch so place your order soon to be sure of getting one this decade!!

The fine hull entry and hydrodynamic keel profiles they have produced give clues to her performance and with a design speed of 10 knots under sail or motor she will turn heads whilst on the water as well as when alongside! She also has many features not often seen in sailing yachts and will appeal to those seeking a yacht that is easy to sail as well as fast. – these features include: self tacking headsail, all lines lead to a single “sail station” at the base of the cockpit-situated mast, aft swim deck and bathing platform, optional mast lowering system, moulded integral bowsprit for the down-wind sail, 2x20Hp engines…….and a remarkably low price!!

The VOYAGER’s cockpit is raised for all-round visibility from the helm station so you can see all four corners of the boat; ideal for close-quarters handling in those small harbours and tight marinas.

The cockpit also features large flat areas for sun bathing over the aft cabins with a companionway between them for easy access to the aft swim deck.

Practical features include the large cockpit table and under deck storage lockers for gas, mooring lines and dinghy storage. Stainless steel push pits and guard rails surround the cockpit for security and peace of mind.

The option of an all-weather bimini/cockpit cover for shelter from sun or rain is also available.

The foredeck features a large, non-slip flat area with flush lockers, keeping it clean and uncluttered and ideal for lying on or moving around on whilst anchoring or mooring. The self-stowing anchor is moulded into the fore deck and is connected to a windlass inside the anchor locker. There is also plenty of space for fenders and warps so you can keep deck areas clear.  Particular attention has been given to this forward area to ensure that it enjoys maximum clearance above the water.

The design detail and features continue to be developed and refined so please contact Mark at Multihull World for the latest information on
